Assignment 1
For this assignment, I was tasked with creating 5 game screens based off of a real game with vectors in Adobe Illustrator. The game I chose was Dust: An Elysian Tail, a game made by a solo developer in 2012 that was made up of hand drawn and painted sprites, environments and animations. Due to me already being an artist, I was able to produce the screens efficiently, leaving me with enough time to polish them to my satisfaction. There are things I could improve on, but I am happy with what I have made.
Assignment 2
For this assignment, I had to create UVs, materials, texture and light for 2 models, as well as bake any details gained from a high poly model. Baking came into play mostly with the car, as the human model was already very smooth. I really enjoyed texturing and lighting the models, but baking was a bit more tedious.
I also had to import the models and light them in Unreal Engine 4 with IES profiles within the setting of a photo studio.
